Use the Growth Suite with your own API key (BYOK)
The Growth Suite is ZTools' paid set of AI-assisted SEO / AEO / analytics tools. Unlike the free tools, Growth Suite tools call external AI services to do their work — so they are not browser-only, and they need a ZTools account.
Two ways to power them
- Bring your own key (BYOK) — add your own provider API key (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, or Perplexity) in your account settings. Your key is encrypted per-user and stored so the tools call the provider directly on your behalf. You pay the provider for what you use; ZTools adds no markup.
- Free shared tier — signed-in users without their own key get a small free daily allowance of AI requests, shared across the AI tools. It's meant for trying things out, not heavy use.
Plans
A generous Free tier, plus Pro and Ultimate paid plans (and team plans) raise the monthly per-feature caps. Pick the plan that matches how much you run.
What leaves your browser
Be clear-eyed about this: when you run a Growth Suite tool, the content you submit (and, with BYOK, your request via your key) is sent to the AI/SEO provider. That's the trade for AI-assisted output. The free, browser-only tools are unaffected — they still keep your data on your device.
